Learn about use of Automated License Plate Readers ("Flock" cameras) in North Liberty
Automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras (or "Flock" cameras) have spread as surveillance tools in recent years. ACLU is offering a couple opportunities this month to learn more - including one for our group that is focused on North Liberty. Details below.
Mon, Aug 17 from 6:30-7:30 pm, join ACLU for a webinar providing national and state-level ALPR updates. Guest speakers from the Institute for Justice will share national-level insights and work. More info and registration to get the Zoom link is here.
Then join us virtually at 7 p.m. on August 25th when Erica Dubin-Barz, community engagement manager at the ACLU of Iowa, will provide an overview of the use of ALPRs in North Liberty to our group. RSVP and access the Zoom link here.

Love flew, despite the weather!
Thanks to everyone who came out to Let Love Fly on, June 13, in Centennial Park! Despite the early end due to rain, it was great to see the community coming together to celebrate love!
And WELCOME to the many new folks who stopped by the table and signed up to receive our emails!
